Good attendance is a habit that helps your child do well in school.

• Kids who are in class at least 90% of the time do better in school.
• Kids learn something every day in our classrooms and students make great contributions to their classroom community.
• We want every child included in their classroom learning. We value their ideas and potential.

One of our César E Chávez Elementary school-wide goals for this year is having all our students as regular attenders, which means here at school on time at least 90% of school days. We understand that there may be many reasons for student absences. We also know from decades of research that there is a huge academic, social and future impact on students who are not regular attenders.
