The BIPOC Affinity group is meant to be a welcoming space where kids of color can come to make friends, play games, learn about influential BIPOC people, and have a safe place to talk about life! The BIPOC Affinity group is offered to 3-5th graders and each grade meets once a month during the afternoon recess. The group is facilitated by Chai’enne Lucas (Miss Lucas) who previously taught for three years at Chavez but has transitioned into a new role as a teacher mentor.
