Project Hope Kids’ Fair on Sunday August 27th
** Tickets are available for students in elementary and middle school. Please call the Chávez school office @ 541-790-5300 if would like to reserve tickets.
Project Hope is an annual outreach designed to serve schools and families, representing 4 school districts, before the new year begins. During the last weekend in August, churches adopt a neighborhood school to prepare the facility and grounds before students return. The next day, at 5 locations, Back-to-School Giveaways & Fairs provide a fun environment where students receive new shoes, backpacks, school supplies, and more!

Office Hours: August 21st-25th
August 16th-September 1st – Registration for Kindergarteners and new students grades 1st-5th
August 29th, Tuesday: Kindergarten Play Date 5:30-6:30 – All Kindergarten families invited to join the Kindergarten teachers on the Chávez Playground. Casual conversations and popsicles.
September 5th, Tuesday: Meet & Greet 10:30-12:00 – All families are invited to meet their child’s new teacher and visit the classroom.
September 6th, Wednesday – First day of school for all students in grades 1st-5th AND Kindergarteners with last names beginning with A-L.
September 7th, Thursday – First day of school for Kindergarteners with last names beginning with M-Z.
