Chávez Site Council
Have you ever wondered how you can make a difference in your child’s school?
Have you enjoyed working in the classroom or serving as a member of PACK and are now looking for another way to expand your experience and share your ideas at Chávez?
Site Council is the governing body of our school. It is made up of parent representatives serving staggered two-year terms, teacher representatives, one classified representative and the principal. Site Council meets once a month to discuss school curriculum, school structure, staff development plans and training options, the school calendar, and other concerns parents and teachers may have. Serving as a member of Site Council is an excellent way to make a difference in our school and to be involved in important issues and decisions. Up to three parent representatives are needed.
Site Council reps are required to be elected by their peers. Voting is held annually. Contact the office for more details.
